The International Crimes Tribunal has imposed a ban on broadcasting or sharing any hate speech by Sheikh Hasina, who has fled to India, across media and social platforms. Additionally, the court has directed the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to remove all previously issued hate speech by Sheikh Hasina from all platforms.

On Thursday (December 5), a three-judge panel of the International Crimes Tribunal, led by Chairman Justice Md. Golam Mortuza Mojumdar, issued the order in response to a petition by the prosecution. Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tazul Islam represented the prosecution during the hearing.

The court stated that ongoing investigations into allegations against Sheikh Hasina, including human rights violations and genocide, could be disrupted by her hate speech. Therefore, the relevant authorities have been instructed to take immediate action.

On November 18, the tribunal directed that the investigation into two cases of crimes against humanity, filed over the July-August genocide, involving Sheikh Hasina, Obaidul Quader, and 46 others, must be completed within a month.

The investigation report is to be submitted by December 17. Additionally, the court ordered that 13 individuals, including Anisul Haque, who were presented before the tribunal, be shown as arrested in the cases and held in custody.
